Ceremony Marks Official Opening of Anne Arundel Countys Premiere Shopping Destination
Annapolis, Maryland — Westfield Annapolis celebrated the completion of its $160 million redevelopment today with an elaborate VIP ceremony and launch, including official welcomes by Anne Arundel County officials, donations to local community groups and a symbolic anchor drop finale.
The 240,000 square foot revitalization and expansion combines the best of traditional fashion retailing with innovative elements such as alfresco dining, leading edge technology and superior customer service amenities. Today, we unveil Anne Arundel Countys premiere shopping destination, an exciting place that connects residents and visitors alike with the very latest in fashion, trends and lifestyle. By fusing the best in retail, world-class design and meaningful relationships with our community, we truly provide a different, better and special shopping experience, said Peter Lowy, Westfields Chief Executive Officer.
More than 60 exciting new specialty stores and nationally known restaurants, 33 of which are new to the Annapolis market (11 are also new to Maryland), opened their doors at Westfield Annapolis for the first time today, including Pottery Barn, H&M, Martin + Osa, Under Armour, Metropark and Ann Taylor Loft. Additionally, a highlight of the new restaurant offerings, McCormick and Schmicks Seafood, opens to the public on Monday, November 5th. Four convenient new parking areas with more than 1,000 new parking spaces, valet stations and enhanced way-finding signage enable stress- free mobility throughout the property. Striking interior design enhancements including dramatic new entrances and majestic atriums in a stimulating street-scene environment are featured throughout the shopping center.

The new Westfield Annapolis, at 1.5 million square feet, now has the distinction of providing the most the shopping choices in Anne Arundel County, employing over 3,500 and is expected to generate over $500 million in annual sales.
