Scott Sanders, Creative Head of Global Entertainment wins a Grammy
Today it was announced that Westfield’s Creative Head of Global Entertainment, Scott Sanders, won a Grammy award for Best Musical Theater Album for The Color Purple beating Bright Star, Fiddler on the Roof, Kinky Boots (London recording), and Waitress.
The album features Danielle Brookes, Cynthia Erivo, and Jennifer Hudson who play Sofia, Celie and Shug Avery respectively in the Broadway production as principal soloists. The album was produced by Stephen Bray, Van Dean, Frank Filipetti, Roy Furman, Scott Sanders and Jhett Tolentino. Stephen Bray, Brenda Russell and Allee Willis are composers/lyricists.
With his company, Scott Sanders Theatrical Productions, Scott has won multiple awards including the Tony’s and Emmy’s.
