The 14th annual Westfield Awards for Retail Excellence werepresented at a gala evening at Melbourne’s Crown Casino last night,Wednesday, 2 December, 1998.
Over 400 senior executives representing Australia’s foremostretailers joined special guests including theVictorian Premier, TheHon Jeff Kennett, for the presentation of Australia’s mostprestigious awards for retailing excellence.
The Westfield Awards for Retail Excellence recognise theperformances and achievements of Australia’s retailers who arejudged on customer service, sales performance and businesspractices.

Mr Berel Ginges, the founder of Best & Less who retired fromthe industry during 1998
Mr Hans Mueller, Chairman Lowes-Manhattan which this yearcelebrates the 100th anniversary of Lowes in Australia
Mr Marc Besen, Chairman of the Sussan Group which is celebrating60 years in the Australian fashion retail industry.
