From there, you can choose a heading type or you can choose from various other styles like Lead Paragraph (displayed above), bold, italicized, subscript, superscript, numbered and bulleted lists, or blockquotes, all of which are sampled on this page.

Text blocks can be centered for a unique appearance. Enter the content, click on the Edit button on the text block widget and choose the "centered" layout. Save. Keep in mind that centered text is difficult to read so try to keep the amount of text in this block short.

John Doe, Marketing Director

Heading 4 - FAQs

FAQ lists are a great way to break up text within a page to make it more manageable for the reader. Click on the Add Content button and choose FAQs. Click Add New to start your FAQ list. Enter a title and use the free form description field for all of the information related to that title. That information can include descriptions or simply a link off to a page on the site that can provide the user with all of the information they need, which will avoid duplication of content on the site.

FAQ Style

Description information would go here. Use the text editor to style the content as needed. You can include links with the text to direct people elsewhere on the site.

  • Bulleted Item 1
  • Bulleted Item 2
  1. Numbered Item 3
  2. Numbered Item 4

FAQ style that uses a title that is really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really long and might wrap to two lines.

This is an example of an FAQ with a very long title.

Link Lists

If you have a list of items that you want to link, a link list is a far better alternative than simply writing the list out and linking within the text. Add the Link widget, click the Add New button. The Title field is where you place the word that you to display to represent your link, then enter the link in the URL field. A description field is optional. As shown below, bulleted and numbered lists are supported here as well as links within the text. Save.

If you have a long list, you might want to consider changing the layout to two columns. One column and two column link lists are shown below.

Note

You can change the title of the link list by clicking on "List" in the blue heading of the widget. It will turn into an editable field. Once done, click save on the right-hand side.

News

News can be brought back into any pag based on their category type. To add news:

  1. Click on the Add Content button and choose "News." The widget will appear at the bottom of page.
  2. Click on the Edit button and choose which category of news you'd like to bring back onto the page.
  3. If desired, enter a title, this will override the generic "news" title that displays above the news listing.
  4. Save and publish.

The news lists out chronologically with the most recent one appearing on the left with an image. If you'd like to display an older article as featued instead of the most recent, go to the news item in Showtime and on the promotions tab tag it as "featured." See instructions for more details.

Notes

  • If you want to create a new category type, put a ticket into the Help Desk and one of the Support representatives will set it up for you.
  • The database of News items is managed under Website > News.
  • Once you've set this up, the news items will automatically display on this page based on the display on date and time set on the Options tab of the news item.

Slideshows and Galleries

Slideshows have two layouts: Standard Slideshow and Image Gallery

  • Standard Slideshow: Displays one image at a time. Used on static pages. Example can be seen at the top of this page.
  • Image Gallery: Displays all images stacked on top of one another. When clicked, the image will open in a lightbox on top of the page, allowing users to scroll through all images.

Both layouts support images AND videos.

Tables

Tables can be created on any page.

  1. In a regular text block, click on the table icon (third from the right, bottom row) in the text editor.
  2. A new menu will appear where you can set the number of rows and columns and width. Be sure to set the width to 100% so it works on all browsers. Ignore the remaining fields. The styles of the site will determine the design of the table.
  3. Once you've set the rows, columns, and width, click "ok" and the table will appear within the text block for you to start working.

Note

Keep in mind that tables are not inherently responsive. The more columns, the harder it is to support on smaller browsers. We've set it so that when the browser size becomes smaller than the table, it automatically starts to scroll left to right.
