Westfield Bradford signs six Arcadia brands

Westfield is pleased to announce the signing of six retailers from the Arcadia Group to its 340m Bradford development. Topshop/Topman, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, Wallis, and Miss Selfridge, will take 4,026.64 sq m (43,341 sq ft) in the new centre which is being anchored by Debenhams and Marks & Spencer.
Michael Gutman, Managing Director of Westfield UK & Europe said: “We’re delighted to have exchanged contracts with the Arcadia Group. Wallis and Miss Selfridge will return to Bradford city centre in the new Westfield development, while Arcadia stores already in Bradford will be able to improve their existing offer.
“Retailer interest in Bradford is strong and further deals are close to being concluded.”
Preparation works have begun on the 10-acre site, which when completed will include more than 100 retail units, a modern food court, residential units and office accommodation.
The Westfield scheme will deliver 588,000 sq ft of retail floor space, with excellent public transport and parking for more than 1,800 cars. This will help to fill the demand for high quality retail space in Bradford.

The 54,000 sq m centre will create a stunning new retail environment to meet the modern day needs of the city. Trading over two principle levels, over 100 stores will be anchored by a 10,900 sq m Debenhams department store and 6,970 sq m Marks and Spencer store.
As the UKs largest regeneration developer, Westfield will deliver far more than just retail for Bradford. Approximately 3,800 sq m of office space will be created, plus residential apartments and parking for around 1,800 cars.

Westfield has three major urban regeneration projects; the 1.6bn landmark Westfield London which on completion this autumn will be the largest shopping centre in Greater London. Westfield is also developing Stratford City, adjacent to the site of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
