The Westfield Group announced today that its 38 centres across Australia would be community donation points for the Bushfire Appeal Fund.

Donations will be collected on behalf of the Red Cross, which established the Bushfire Appeal Fund with the Victorian and Federal Governments.

Westfield Group Managing Director Australia, Robert Jordan said; People use their Westfield centre as a focal point for whatever is happening in the community and the Victorian tragedy has galvanised the nation into action. One way we can support the Bushfire Appeal is by making our centres an easy donation point for people who want to give.

Donations can be made at any Westfield concierge desk in Australia.

Todays announcement follows yesterdays statement that Westfield would donate $1 million to the Bushfire Appeal Fund.

Westfield is also making its local staff available to support the Bushfire Appeal through volunteering with communities in need.

Victorian Westfield centres are also working closely with local communities to help meet their various needs ranging from working with retailers to provide goods to families in need, to being a drop-off point for community donations of emergency goods.
