WESTFIELD DONATES $1 MILLION TO BUSHFIRE APPEAL
9 February 2009
The Westfield Group today announced it would donate $1 million to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund established by the Victorian Government, the Federal Government and the Red Cross.
Local Westfield staff that wish to lend support to the Bushfire Appeal through volunteering will be made available to assist local communities.
Victorian Westfield centres will also work closely with their communities to meet particular local needs, ranging from functioning as drop-off point for donations of emergency goods, to working with retailers to provide various goods to families in desperate need.
Affected communities seeking support should contact their local Westfield centre if no contact has already been made.
